What happened to the 3-day UNLOCK Leadership Retreat?
Although we had a great response and over 400 unique visits to our site, the retreat registrations were just not happening fast enough. So what do we do? We got curious and asked for feedback. We heard that you're craving content, you want to participate -- but the format just wasn't working for your schedules, work & family demands.
So we are pivoting to an interchangeable three part series that will bring you the magic and the content from the retreat in a one-day in-person format. Join us for one, join us for all three. You won’t want to miss this!
Who is this program for?
This program is ideal for professionals at any stage in their career who want to elevate their leadership capacity, build clarity around their values and vision, and connect with a supportive community of peers.
Will you do retreats in the future?
We are open to planning a weekend retreat in the future based on demand! For now, we want to make our programming accessible and increase our reach to more women.
Where is the event held?
Part 1: Leading from Within is being held at The Boulevard Club at 1491 Lake Shore Blvd W in Toronto
What should I bring?
Just bring yourself! All program materials will be provided. Electronic devices are not required.
What topics will be covered in the leadership sessions?
Topics include values-based leadership, vision setting, navigating change, personal branding, courageous conversations, and strategies for sustaining leadership energy.
Will the retreat qualify for corporate education reimbursement?
Many attendees successfully submit this retreat for employer reimbursement under professional development or learning stipends. We can provide a program outline and receipt upon request.
Are meals provided?
Yes. Breakfast, lunch, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are provided
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Absolutely. Please note any allergies or dietary needs in your registration form, and we’ll ensure the kitchen is prepared.
How do I register?
You can register online through our website. There are only 25 spots so your space will only be confirmed with receipt of payment. A confirmation email with full details will be sent once your payment is processed.
What is the cost to attend?
The cost is $349+ HST
What is your cancellation policy?
​Cancellations made more than 1 week before the retreat are eligible for a full refund minus a small processing fee.
Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable due to booking commitments, but you may transfer your registration to another participant or event.
Can I attend with a colleague or friend?
Yes! Participants can come with coworkers, friends, or peer leaders. You’ll each need to register separately, but let us know if you’d like to share accommodations or be grouped together.
Who leads the retreat?
The Unlock Leadership Retreat is co-led by Kristen Butler and Sara Scurfield, two experienced leadership facilitators with a combined 35+ years of professional experience across corporate, coaching, and people development roles.
Kristen Butler brings over 20 years in the tech industry and nearly 18 years at Google with deep expertise in sales, strategic partnerships, and transformational leadership development. She is a founder of the LEAD Women in Leadership program at Google and has designed and facilitated workshops for hundreds of women and emerging leaders.
Sara is a seasoned leadership coach with nearly 20 years of experience spanning startups, retail marketing, and 13 years at Google in sales and global marketing roles. Since 2019, she’s focused on coaching and leadership development, completing over 100 hours of Co-Active Coach Training. Sara creates transformative, values-driven experiences that help leaders navigate career transitions, imposter syndrome, burnout, and authentic leadership with clarity and purpose. www.sarascurfield.com
